Supply List:
Size 10 (6mm) Circular Knitting Needles, 32” or longer to hold all the stitches.
• Main Color Heartland Acadia 136-098 – 4 Skeins
• Contrast 1 Heartland Kings Canyon 136-180 – 1 Skein
• Contrast 2 Heartland Sequoia 136-126 – 1 Skein
• Contrast 3 Heartland Redwood 136-113 – 1 Skein
• Contrast 4 Heartland Olympic 136-109 – 1 Skein
• Yarn Needle

Abbreviations:
KBF – knit through front of stitch, without dropping stitch from the left hand needle, knit through back of same loop. Move both to right hand needle. = make 1.
K2Tog – using the right hand needle, knit through the next two stitches on the left hand needle together. Move to right hand nee-dle. = decrease 1.

Directions:
*You can knit with as many contrast colors as you like. These 5 contrasts represent some of the different National Park colors.

Break Contrast color yarn after each stripe. Stripe pattern is 8 of Main Color, 2 of Contrast. This version is approximately 48” square.
With main color (MC), Cast on 3 st (stitches).
Wrong Side (WS) row and all odd number rows – Knit all stitches.
MC Row 2 Right Side (RS) – KBF, Knit 1, KBF (5 stitches on needle)
MC Row 4 (RS) KBF, Knit 3, KBF (7 st)
MC Row 6 (RS) KBF, Knit 5, KBF (9 st)
MC Row 8 (RS) KBF, Knit 7, KBF (11st)
Contrast Color 1 Row 10 – (RS) KBF, Knit 9, KBF (13 st)
Contrast Color 1 Row 11 – (WS) Knit all stitches.
Continue with MC Rows 2-9, continue increases.
Rows 20/21 Contrast Color 2
Rows 30/31 Contrast Color 3
Rows 40/41 Contrast Color 4
Continue in these repeats of MC & CC until you have repeated all main and contrast 4 four more times.
You will complete a Contrast color #4, then knit one WS row.
Maintaining stripe pattern on each RS row, K1, K2tog, knit to last 3 st, K2tog, K1.
WS rows, knit all stitches. Continue stripes and decreasing, until you have 3 st left.
Cast off. Weave in all ends.

Enjoy!
You can add or subtract colors or make the blanket larger or smaller by stopping the increases earlier.
