Top 5 Craft Projects for 2019

1. Alcohol Ink Leaf

Alcohol Ink on Leaf Project

Alcohol Ink on metal was a popular project in 2019. We enjoyed coloring metal leaves, butterflies, dragonflies, vases and more, but by far the leaf was the most popular event. It’s hard to go wrong using alcohol ink on metal. A little goes a long way and they blend so easily together. See the tutorial here >

2. Agate Nightlight

The Agate Slice Nightlight has been a consistently popular event at all Craft Warehouse stores. It’s a lovely finished product that takes little time. It’s all about the agate slice and showing off it’s natural beauty. See the tutorial here >

3. Temperature Blanket

A Temperature Blanket is such a fun thing to do and many of our customers took the challenge last year. To make a Temperature Blanket you just keep a record of the average high for each day of a time period. Many people do it for a full year, but you can do it for a season, for a certain time period like a pregnancy or a wedding month, or you could make a scarf or a pillow by doing it for several weeks. The end result is an interesting record of your history in pretty colors. We have a print-out you can use to track and plan your temperature blanket. See more about Temperature Blankets here >

4. Paint Pour on Jars

Paint pouring is so popular now and so much easier to do than a couple years ago thanks to all-in-one solutions like the DecoArt Pouring Medium. We had a lot of fun this year trying paint pouring on lots of other surfaces including mason jars. We loved they way they turned out. Get the tutorial here >

5. Succulent Wall Garden

Any project or event we did with succulents was popular in 2019. This metal wall pocket was a favorite vessel to not only plant succulents in (real or fake), but to embellish with stencils or vinyl transfers – so many options with one piece!
