Sizzix Tim Holtz Vault Snowflakes #3 A5 Embossing Folder

Set the scene for winter with a repeating field of delicate snowflakes. This snowflake background embossing folder adds texture to Christmas cards, seasonal scrapbook pages and handmade gift tags. The Tim Holtz Vault Snowflakes #3 design uses a regular arrangement of detailed flakes that works well behind a greeting or a small cluster of winter embellishments.

The large A5 folder measures 6in x 8 1/2in and is made from polypropylene plastic. Its 2D Texture Fades design embosses paper in a compatible machine, giving a flat sheet a patterned surface you can see and feel. Use the embossed panel whole for a larger project, or trim it to fit a smaller card front. The repeating design also works in strips along a scrapbook page or across the bottom of a tag.

White cardstock keeps the look crisp and understated. Pale blue, soft grey or a darker winter color can create a different mood without changing the design. Try adding a contrasting paper border so the snowflakes have a defined edge, or highlight the raised texture with a little ink. A separate snowman, candle or evergreen die cut can become the focal point while the embossed pattern supplies the setting.

Follow your machine’s instructions for 2D embossing folders and check its size requirements before use. This listing includes the reusable folder; the machine, paper, inks and embellishments are sold separately. Emboss a spare panel when preparing a batch of cards so you have matching pieces for gift enclosures.
