Premo balances workable texture with the firmness needed to keep fine details defined. It suits caning, layered designs, and techniques such as mokume gane, in which layers of clay reveal patterns as you slice them. Try making a set of matching pendants, repeating a small motif across several beads, or adding modeled details to a decorative piece.

The available choices include everyday colors alongside distinctive effects. Rose Gold Metallic adds a reflective metallic accent, Turquoise Granite has a speckled stone effect, and Glow provides a glow-in-the-dark option. These effects belong to the named colors; select the variation that matches the result you want. A small test piece is useful when planning a combination of colors and textures.

Condition the clay before shaping it, and protect your work surface. Premo stays workable until it is oven baked, allowing time to adjust the design. Keep unused portions covered and clean between projects. After baking and cooling, the clay can be sanded, carved, painted, or glazed to finish the surface.

Bake at 275°F (130°C) for 30 minutes per 1/4in (6 mm) of thickness, following the package directions. Use an oven thermometer to check the temperature, and do not microwave the clay.
