Creativation is a yearly trade show that takes place in Arizona. It’s the largest and longest running trade event for creative industries. It’s a packed few days of exhibitors showing off their newest products, business owners and buyers connecting with each other, instructors teaching new techniques, and it culminates in an awards ceremony for most outstanding businesses for that previous year.
It’s an absolutely fun (and exhausting) time and a Craft Warehouse team goes every year (to see some images from what we saw this year, checkout or Instagram stories). This year we had the honor of being awarded the Creative Retailer of the Year award for 2019. Accepting the award was Christina Healy from the Beaverton store (pictured here with two of the owners, brothers Rob and Mike Williams).
Craft Warehouse received this award based on store appearance and merchandising, creativity of projects, cultivation of community and creative inspiration.
In the words of two of the industry nominators:
“…the store is warm and welcoming. I always feel like I could successfully make the display ideas they have out. Plus, there are so many creative ideas and projects displayed. It’s super easy to look at the sample, find the products used and then customize to my taste and style. Every time I go to the store I leave feeling happy and inspired to create.
“…I like that the projects displayed look like they could be done in an hour. The vignettes are merchandised well, too, in that there is a subtle connection to each one. I found myself being inspired to create the projects but also to take different flowers, burlap, or surfaces different from what they showed there because of the subtle connections.”
“It’s a unique store reminding all that getting crafty is a possibility for everyone.”
We are so pleased and proud to have this honor awarded to us by the creative retailers industry and so glad that Christina from the Beaverton store could be there to accept.
