Temperature Blankets have been a fun trend. When making a Temperature Blanket you use a corresponding yarn color for what the average temperature was that day. Each day you knit or crochet a row and what you end up with is a large blanket with pretty color variations that documents the year in weather. It’s pretty cool.
If a blanket is too big or too overwhelming for you, we have created a new pattern for a Temperature Scarf with a different yarn that is thinner and will create a lighter, smaller version.
We recommend the Cherub DK yarn from Cascade Yarns. It’s 55% Nylon 45% Acrylic, DK Light Worsted yarn.
You can certainly make a scarf for a whole year (but, then you have to wait a year to wear it!) or you can do one for each season!
